Leo Messi's lowest-rated performance since 2009/10 is his outing against Paris Saint-Germain in 2016/17, according to WhoScored.
The mark he received that night was... 5.9 out of 10. Almost every football superstar has a worse performance in his books, so you may imagine what Messi's level has been throughout these years.
And anyway, that game didn't matter much. After losing that first leg 4-0, Barcelona completed the comeback of the century, beating PSG 6-1 thanks to Sergi Roberto's iconic last-minute goal. Leo was one of the best players on the pitch, of course.
This stat also tells a lot about Messi's performances in Barca's most famous defeats – against Bayern Munich (8-2), Liverpool (4-0) and Roma (3-0). Leo was quite useful.
