According to The Athletic, Marcus Rashford has apologised to Erik ten Hag for visiting a nightclub to party right after the 3-0 battering at the hands of Manchester City.
The defeat at Old Trafford was a rude wake-up call for the squad. Rashford, who has just scored once in the Premier League so far, was invisible in that game as well.
He played for 85 minutes before being substituted as he remains
However, Ten Hag has maintained that he's got no issues with the forward even though it was not right for him to attend a party at the time.
The Manchester United boss told reporters: Yes I am aware of it, I spoke with him about it.
It is unacceptable. I told them, he apologised and that is it. It is an internal matter.
Ten Hag was pressed further as to whether things were okay with Rashford. To that, he replied: As I say, It is an internal matter.
He is fitting in. He is very motivated to put things right. I know how much effort he is putting in. He makes a mistake but that doesn’t say he is not fitting in.
He is totally with us. He makes one mistake but also off the pitch what he is doing, how he lives, I am sure he is doing everything right to help the team and to perform and let us win.
