Jesse Lingard admits he used to drink to try to relieve pain during his career at Manchester United . Lingard joined Nottingham Forest last summer on a free transfer, signing a one-year deal at The City Ground after completing a 22-year at Manchester United.
Lingard, who scored the winning goal in the 2016 FA Cup final, has revealed that the abuse he received from fans, combined with his mother's struggles with depression rely on alcohol before bedtime.
Lingard told The Diary Of A CEO Podcast ៖ I drank before going to bed at night. I need something to try to relieve the pain and make me feel better. I tried to forget what was happening, but it made it 10 times worse.
